When they got home, Rick and James got into their beds.
"Rick! James" called their mother, "Where are you?"
"Here!" answered James and Rick. The door bell rang. Rick and James ran outside to play but, at the door, was the old man. Rick and James saw the old man in front of them. Rick and James were very scared but the old man said nothing.
"Who are you?" asked James, stepping back from the old man.
"I am a goblin," said the old man.
Rick tried to catch the old man but the old man just disappeared. Rick fell down on the floor.
"Rick, are you OK?" asked James.
"Yes," said Rick, "I am OK." So Rick got up. The two of them were frozen until Rick said something.
"Where did that old man come from?"
"I don't know," said James.
"Hi, Mum," said James.
"Who was that?" asked Mum.
"We don't know, he's a bad man," said James.
"It's quite late, you'd better go to bed," said Mum.
