Cinderella went back to get the shoe. She picked it up and ran down the stairs. She jumped into her carriage and hurried away. It was a very dark and foggy night and she was lucky to get home without getting lost. Cinderella went inside and told Andy and Lucy all about the wonderful ball.

"I want to go to the ball!" shouted Lucy.

"You can't go to the ball!" said Cinderella and Andy together.

"You can't stop me!" shouted Lucy and she rushed outside and jumped into the carriage. Andy ran after her and just managed to get in the carriage before it moved off. It was even darker and foggier than before. Lucy did not even really know how to get to the ball so, of course, she went the wrong way.
