The Kingdom of Carbonel

Lucy and Andy looked around and saw a black cat. The cat snarled at Lucy and walked over to Andy. Andy stroked the cat and he heard someone talking. The thing that was talking said,

"Get off!"

Andy spun around but no one was there. Then the voice spoke again.

"I am down here!"

He looked down but the only thing there was the black cat.

"Did you talk?" asked Andy in a quivering voice.

"Yes, I did!" said the black cat, "It was because your sister stepped on my tail!"

"Sorry," said Lucy, in a not very sorry way. The cat said,

"I am looking for a hat. Will you come with me?"
