"No!" said Lucy.

"OK, I'll come to you then," said Andy. So he went over to Lucy. When Andy got there, he fell into a pit. So did Lucy. Andy knew that it was quicksand.

"Jump, Lucy! Jump!" said Andy.

"Why?" asked Lucy.

"Because it's quicksand!" said Andy.

"OK, I'll jump!" said Lucy.

But it was too late. Andy and Lucy slipped into the quicksand.
