
Description:
The ant has three body parts. They are head, thorax and abdomen.
The legs are connected to the thorax and the antennae to the head.

Life Cycle:
1. The queen lays thousands of eggs.
2. The eggs hatch into larvae.
3. The larvae spin cocoons
4. Finally, the a new ant emerges from the cocoon.

Food:
Ants usually feed on dead insects and other dead animals.
Habitat:
Ants live in colonies in huge underground structures and, believe me, it's organised!
Predators:
All sorts of things can attack an ants nest. These include praying matids, humans and wasps.
