Description:

The long-horned grasshopper is a katydid. If it is disturbed, it will leap.

Food:

It is vegetarian, eating leaves.

Life Cycle:

Egg

The long-horned grasshopper lays the eggs on a leaf.

A nymph hatches from the egg. It grows into an adult after it has shed its skin a number of times.

Predators:

Birds, snakes, spiders, some small animals and other insects
