The last few weeks have been incredibly busy with report writing and other end of year activities at school combined with weekly rehearsals for our Carol Service as well as the regular business of work and generally living. It feels wonderful now that school is finished for the year! Our Carol Service took place last night and, for the first time in many years, we were blessed with cool weather. The twenty-seven members of the Occasional Choir did a magnificent job and many members of the large congregation were of the opinion that it was our best effort to date. It always seems such a long way from Christmas when I start the preparations for this Service in early October but how quickly the day arrives! Our Church is so fortunate to have such a wonderful group of singers who are prepared to put in hours of work to practise for an event such as this.

Here we are just a few days before Christmas and can take the time to reflect on what has been a really happy year for me. How fortunate we all are to live in a peaceful country such as Australia! I wish all of you a joyous celebration of the birth of Jesus and a healthy, prosperous and happy New Year!

With love,

Tim
