Chapter 2
Max sniffed the air. He could smell salt.
"Follow me!" said Max. They got to the beach. The waves were bigger than he could imagine. Then Max saw a boat going to the Amazon.
"Come on, I see a boat! They raced to the boat. All the people on the boat were too busy talking to see Max's clan coming. When they got on the boat, Max's clan found some food scraps. The food was nutritious.
"That was yummy!" said Max, "I wish we were there right now." The boat was very slow. He opened his eyes. Every one was still feasting. Two minutes later, all the food had been eaten. Then he saw a bag. It came down with a crash. Max's clan fell backwards and crashed into a wall. Then the boat docked. Max's clan had to walk the rest of the way to the city. They had to walk half a mile. Finally, they got to the airport. It was even bigger than Max had imagined. He asked a dust mite for directions.
"Do you know if these planes could take us to the Amazon?"
"I'm pretty sure that that one goes to the Amazon. It is leaving in one minute"!
"Come with me!" said Max to the clan. When they got on the plane, it was deserted.
"I wish there were other passengers on this plane but there are none," said Max.
