My mother turned 80 in January. She was determined that there would be "no fuss" so we had a simple celebration with a few friends one afternoon in early February. After a delicious lunch, we spent the afternoon singing some of her favourite old songs around the piano.
When I moved in with Jenny and Darryl, they had no need for the extra room. With the advent of grandchildren, they wanted more room for them to be able to stay overnight so, early in March, I moved two houses down Arthur St. to Jenny and Darryl's other house. Darryl spent many hours preparing the house. It was all freshly painted, the old carpet was removed and the floorboards polished. Mountains of books, music, CDs and records were trolleyed or carried as were many pieces of furniture. It was quite a task! I would never have been able to do this without the help of my friends, especially the incredibly patient Darryl who so mananimously put up with me stressing about all sorts of things!
You mean these are ALL photos??
